Hundreds of people made their way to the square on Friday after gay marriage was ruled legal by the supreme court. This was after Denton County Clerk Julie Luke had refused to issue licenses due to her conflicting beliefs. However, as of this morning, she has since gone on to issue licenses to same sex couples, citing, "My personal belief cannot prevent me from issuing the licenses as required."
